The damaged 6 World Trade Center building

Take notice of the already blackened and damaged 6 world trade center at the left of the North Tower, prior to the south tower's collapse. (note that there is no dust or debris in the streets). What has happened to WTC6? Eyewitnesses reported explosions on ground level at the same moment flight UA175 hit the south tower and everybody was looking up. There is a lot of discussion whether CNN did or did not caught a ground level explosion inside WTC6 on video.

The case is made that you see the collapse of the south tower and it's pyroclastic dust cloud and others say it shows the blowing up of WTC6. I'm not sure yet. The cloud is at the right location, over building 6 and seems to move only in a forward direction towards WTC7 where you would expect to see the cloud expand in all directions as on almost every other photo. There's no dust coming from in between the north tower, the Marriott hotel (invisible on the CNN picture) and the World Financial Center building so it is not impossible that the image indeed shows a secondary explosion at ground level. But the CNN banner blocks most of the lower part of the image to be sure. Another problem with the top image and the one below is that it shows no signs of dust. After the cloud seen in the CNN footage lied down, there ought to be some dust on the street.

But it's a hard fact that WTC6 was damaged before any of the towers came down. On below picture, taken from West Street looking south, you'll see the collapse of the south tower in progress, with WTC6 on the very left. Clearly something has happened there before. Maybe those events let to the gigantic hole in the roof of the building. I'll get back to that.

Seconds after the previous photo was taken, we witness an explosion that apparently comes from the basements area of the north tower. Don't tell me it's a cloud of dust generated by the collapse, shooting out of the basement. It has the wrong color and to much upward power. This is a high velocity explosion, no doubt about it. Camouflaged by the noise of the south tower collapsing, who would notice an extra explosion aimed at blowing up the north tower's basements as a preparation for it's collapse a little later?

Bill Biggart took the two pictures above. They were taken from West Street, in between 3 World Financial Center and 6 World Trade Center. Biggart managed to take some 150 pictures of the events, the last of them taken further down West street as he moved south towards the south pedestrian overpass that connected the World Trade Center and the World Financial Center. Photo's taken after 9-11 clearly show the massive hole in building 6. Supposedly it's a result of falling debris smashing trough the roof. That's fine by me, but why is the hole empty than and not filled with debris?

You see building 6 in the front with the enormous empty crater in it, and building 5 in the back. Notice that both building didn't collapse after being hit straight on by debris from the twin towers collapse and after major fires raging through them. Behind building 6, in the open space, is where WTC7 used to be. Separated from the WTC complex by Vesey street. It is the only steel framed building EVER to come down because of "fire" alone.
